The NYS Fair Amateur Wine Contest Results Are In!
We have some exciting news to share—Scott’s very first homemade wine, a Dry Riesling, won a Bronze Medal in the Amateur Wine Competition at the New York State Fair!
This was his very first attempt at making wine from start to finish (in our basement!), so the fact that it medaled is something we’re incredibly proud of. Riesling is such a signature grape of the Finger Lakes, and to see his effort recognized in this way is a wonderful milestone at the very beginning of a winemaking journey.
We’re thrilled that his Dry Riesling was tasted and judged alongside other entries from across New York, and even more excited that it earned a spot among the medal winners.
Here’s to the first medal of (we hope!) many more to come.
